Yosemite Biking

Most of us remember being a kid and feeling the joy of riding our bikes with the wind in our hair. If you’re looking to recapture that joy, there’s no place like Yosemite National Park to do it! No need to haul your bike along on your trip – you can rent one right in the park. There are two locations to rent bikes, one at Yosemite Lodge at the Falls and another at Curry Village. You’ll find bicycles for any taste, including traditional bikes along with tandem, children’s, and hand-crank bicycles.

Yosemite offers over 12 miles of paved bike routes, letting cyclists experience incredible views. You can bike to Tenaya Creek and then hike to Mirror Lake for a picnic or dip in the water. Or take the 8 mile round trip ride through Yosemite Valley, passing by Yosemite Falls and ending at Mirror Lake with astounding views of Half Dome. During your bike tour, you can take side trips to places like Hanging Bridge, Leidig Meadow, Sentinel Bridge, Bridalveil Meadow, the Ahwahnee, and El Capitan Meadow.

If you’re looking for a more exciting biking experience, consider a visit to Exchequer Mountain Bike Park for trails made especially for mountain bikes, or ride through Stockton Creek Preserve. You can also enjoy a long ride up to Devil’s Peak and enjoy exploring one of the last remaining fire lookout towers, active since 1900. You’ll also enjoy an incredible view that includes Mt. Clark, Raymond Mountain, and Mt. Conness.

Whether you want a leisurely ride or a more physical challenge, Yosemite offers biking for everyone. And when the day is done, you can come back to your Yosemite cabin rental and enjoy a long, hot soak. Call us today to get started planning your trip!
